75 miles planned for today, weather outlook not looking very good. Out sorting the bikes at 7:30, bit of oil here and there, air in the tyres. Adjust front wheel bearing. Ready to roll.
Steady climb for the first fifteen miles, slightly chilly and damp. Unfortunately as we climb up the valley the veiws are ruined by low cloud and mist. It does'nt change all day. After a hour or so we pull over into a Coop looking for fruit. Seems seven eleven and the other convenience stores don't sell fruit. Pick up couple of apples and a bag of tangerines.
The day just get duller and duller as we follow the course of the river. Traffics busy and the roads not great. Lunch is a microwave meal in "Family mart" coffee and chocolate eclairs to finish.
Final climb of the day and Linneys on a mission. Not sure if he's upset because I ate most the eclairs, or he wants tofinish before it rains. No worries we're soon making enquieres for a room in another dodgy hotel. Leave that behind and find the delightful "Love max Hotel" not lovely at all.
