Wednesday. My ride. Followers: John MacMillan, Jim Swan, Iain MacDonald and Lilo Bleasdale.
A suburban route through Ickenham, Ruislip, and Pinner to elevenses at The Moon and Sixpence, Hatch End.
After refreshments we head along the A4008 towards Watford, onto our first bit of off-road, a climb up Merry Hill. Past Bushey and over the M1, we cross Elstree Aerodrome. This is a bit boggy in places and we are glad to get back on the tarmac again, turning left at the Haberdasher's Aske's school, towards our lunch stop at The Three Horseshoes, Letchmore Heath. Our lunch was accompanied by what sounded like WW2 music. Just as we were leaving the manager put an Eagle's CD on. Shame we missed that.
Onward past Radlett, we follow another track, less mud this time, to Watling Street. We start our return at Colney Street and Bricket Wood, then onto cycle tracks at Watford, eventually leading to the Ebury Way and Rickmansworth. Lilo leaves us here to make her way home, the rest follow the main road past Maple Cross, where John leaves. By this time Iain is way ahead, leaving just Jim and I. We want to cross the main road onto Tilehouse Lane, but the entrance is closed. So we follow the main road as far as Denham, then through the Pygtle and Bucks golf course back to Uxbridge.
Weather Fine morning, showery in the afternoon.
All the best................Bernie

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
