I didn't really know where I wanted to ride today. Most of the parks are closed and there's very little dirt left to ride.
There were a couple trails left to check out and with a rough idea I headed off. Near the beginning of the ride I took a wrong turn and ended up taking Chaparral Trail instead of staying on John Brooks Trail. It eventually took me down so change of plans It wasn't the most fun trail to ride and it sort of set the tone for the rest of the ride.
Since I was back at the bottom, I considered checking out the Carlmont pump track but it looked like a pretty steep trail to get to it. And after Chaparral, I just wasn't in the mood for doing anything gnarly. I just wanted to have fun.
I hit Stulsaft Park for the first time. It was okay I guess. Strava has the trails incorrect. I had routed a loop but I wasn't able to find a way back. Looking at Google, the trails are correct.
I went back to Kite Hill trying a new way from Woodside Rd. It starts off not really looking like a trail. I wouldn't have known to go that way if weren't for the "trail" sign. It started off wide, wood chip-lined (as the only way to know it's a trail) but then quickly became singletrack-y and steep.
After Kite Hill, I thought I'd go back to try and find more of the hidden trails inside Woodside Glens. It was a maze with lots of roots and babyheads. It was pretty but was basically too lost to enjoy it. I eventually found my way out from someone's property.
I was supposed to get a tailwind on the way back but was a pretty strong headwind.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
