Eighteen loiterers left the hotel and followed yesterday's route to the ice cream farm. On leaving the farm we headed towards Skellingthorpe, turning of onto NCR64 which follows the trackbed of the Lancashire, Derbyshire and East Coast Railway towards Lincoln. We continued following cycle routes through Lincoln to pick up the river Witham Cycleway south. Leaving the river at Bracebridge we followed quiet roads to Aubourn via Blackmoor Bridge and lunch at The Royal Oak PH.
Leaving Aubourn we headed SW to Norton Disney before turning northwards to Swinderby crossing the A46 again before continuing to Whisby Nature Park for tea.
After tea we returned to the hotel via Whisby stopping at a manned level crossing, a rare sight these days.
