Long Ride details for Sunday 21st June 2013.
Dave Taylor's ride. Followers are John Hare, Colin Acreman, Iain MacDonald, Chris Kinsey, John Owen and me.
Just out of Uxbridge we are joined by Steve, a relative newcomer, who has only done our short rides before. The other side of the A40 we see two people literally yards apart mending punctures on a path through Ickenham. No apparent debris or glass ahead, just an unfortunate coincidence I suppose. Another path just to the north of RAF Northolt, that no-one except Dave has been along before comes out close to Ruislip Gardens tube station. We continue mainly on tarmac through Harrow to elevenses at Morrison's, Hatch End.
After refreshments, John H, and Colin leave us. The remaining six of us pedal up to Bentley Priory, continue through Barnet, then follow the Dollis Valley Green Walk to our lunch stop at the Frith Manor Equestrian Centre, Mill Hill. Plenty of horsey types and smells to add to the atmosphere.
Afterwards, our journey continues through Hendon and Dollis Hill, before turning westward near Kensal Green. Our scheduled afternoon stop should have been the Brentham Club, north Ealing, but we arrive about 15mins after closure. So we head for ice creams at Pitshanger Park. By this time Iain had left us for home. Continuing westward we end up in the land of the pyramids in Greenford, and beneath the White Hart roundabout we go our separate ways. Dave was keen to point out his navigational errors en route, but as he wasn't charging us per mile, we decided to forgive him.
Regards Bernie G

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
