Day 5: Nelson to Kaslo and an extra 20k towards trout lake

Nelson stayed at the Savoy (a splurge for anniversary, private roof top hot tub due to COVID) . Hit up Torchlight Brewing (loved) and Backroads Brewing (also great but very busy). Dinner at Pitchfork Eatery (Amazing, but reservations needed). Breakfast at Osso Negro - go early, long line, ate outside. Hit the road for Kaslo, ate at Teresa's Shop on our way through (very mom and pop - no bathrooms, had to go to the beach public bathroom, decent home made style sandwiches). Then back on the road for an out and back north of Kaslo towards trout lake. Tons of climbing, very beautiful rolling. Back to Kaslo to check in to the Bee Suite (proprietor is incredible and suite is everything). Food options limited - Buddy's pizza had just reopened (incredible) and Angry Birds serves amazing craft beer. Bought breakfast for in the suite.

    Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices

  • TCX Course

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
