TURN ON GARMIN FIRST AWAY FROM THE PHONE AND RIDE ENOUGH THAT GARMIN PICKS UP HR and CADENCE ON THE DISPLAY - It seems if the phone gets it first, the Garmin doesn't show it. Phone did "grab" CADENCE around mile 78.
Garmin does record temps - but I haven't been able to get it on display (with Clock time)
Had a day that started in the upper 50s and got to 75. Lots of folks on the road - most way faster than me.

Did not do New London sub shop this time.
It turns out that I carry only one bottle in an attempt to lessen weight - BUT it means I have to stop every loop to get another bottle and that inserts a 10 -15 minute break to grab a bite to eat, shed a layer, etc. On a "real" century (supported ride, the "stops" are 30ish miles apart.
Next time take 2 bottles and put 2 pre-opened bars in back pocket back

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
