I got up today with a phone call saying that the car I purchased had problems and won't be delivered on time. My hopes were crushed. I felt horrible. It took an hour to calm down. Good news is that it's likely fixable, but will take a week. I went out riding with those thoughts. The ride actually helped. I took my aggression out on the road instead of the people around me. Suffice it to say, the ride went well. It was cold on the way out. I should have brought a jacket, or a thicker base layer. I had to stop two times to keep from getting too cold. I made it to the base and headed back. It took one minute to realize it was going to get warmer on the way up. So, I was able to relax and settle into my comfortable tempo. I had to take a bio while in the gauntlet. At least I was able to sort out my thoughts. All is well. Concentration was ok, all things considered. Balance and form was good. Ailments, next to none, but I was getting cold on the way down. Gear worked flawless. Although, I have to adjust my right cleat. Nutrition was well. Some Gatorade, no water. Other notes, there were two guys at the Loop Monument was I was descending. I got a friendly wave.
