Sunday 16th August 2015. A "Nominate" long ride. With no volunteers forthcoming, I nominate myself. Chris Kinsey, Iain MacDonald and Steve Ingall follow. An independent group comprising Dave Peck, Liliane Rausch and Phil Hallewell, decide to meet us at elevenses.
We head east along Whitehall Rd. As we enter Station Rd, Cowley, I spot a group of familiar cyclists sneakily heading down the High Street in front of us. We catch up with them at the lights and head towards our first stop at Datchet Sailing Club. Not much sailing going on except for some model boats. The upstairs viewing area is closed too because not many sailors are expected today, as it's almost flat calm, it's not surprising.
After drinks, Dave Peck's group go their own way, Chris and Steve return to their respective homes. Was it something I said? This leaves Iain and I to continue alone. At Staines we pick up the Thames Path to Chertsey and our lunch stop at The Twynersh pub.
From there we head west to Chobham, before curving back Virginia Water, Englefield Green to our tea stop at the Windsor Farm Shop.
Returning through Datchet,, route 61, and Iver, Iain heads back to Uxbridge to catch a train, while I cycle back to Hayes. A mainly cloudy day with the sun breaking through occasionally.
Happy cycling..............Bernie G.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
