Sunday 13th September 2015. I nominate myself for the long ride leadership and Jim Swan accompanies me out of sympathy. Dave Peck has already left for the coffee stop, so I can't change my mind now.
Keeping to the west of the A413 Jim and I arrive at Costa, Chalfont St Giles to find Dave already there. I seem to have picked the only table with one leg shorter than the others. Fortunately the saucers that Costa provide are sufficient to catch most of the spillage.
Leaving Dave to his teapot, Jim and I climb west out of the valley. We are quickly overtaken by two licra lasses. I did inquire whether they had any tow ropes to assist us, but our heavy breathing obviously put them off. Onward past Winchmore Hill and Penn Street, we descend to Little Missenden. As we are a bit early for lunch we make a slight detour to visit the Red Lion and it's wild life garden. Nothing too wild, but plenty of life. Lunch is a little further down the road at The Deep Mill Diner. There's an interesting collection of Harley Davidsons out front plus what looks like a VW beetle engined trike.
After lunch Jim takes the lead up to Hyde Heath, Ballinger Bottom and various Pednors. Then it's back along the Chess valley, Stoney Lane and Chorleywood back to Denham Church for tea. No fellow Loiteres to greet us, which is a shame, but at least the weather held.
All the best Bernie G

Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
