The weather has let up a bit. It's in the upper 40's. Winds from the South East. I headed out to Keene today. I had a generous tailwind on the way out. I reached the summit in good time. The descent was fast. Being that I had a tailwind on the way down. I reached upwards of 44MPH nearing the bottom of the loop. I made it to the base, didn't check my time. I scoped out the local café for a charging station. Supposedly, there's a charging outlet for free EV/PHEV charging. I headed back after taking some photos. The uphill was into the wind most of the time. So, I had to pace myself accordingly. Things went as I anticipated. Just a slow march up the mountain. I was using my 32T most of the time in the steeper / windy sections. I was listening to my music. I had to blast the volume because the sound of the headwind was that bad. Concentration was good, the morale felt good. Gear worked perfect. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, some hand soreness and right lower quad soreness nearing the summit. Nutrition was good. I had about half my Gatorade and no water. Other notes, there were people at the Loop Monument both descending and ascending. No trains to be seen, though. No other cyclists today.
