This ride begins from Butte Creek Elementary school in Marquam. The first section goes to the Gallon House Covered Bridge (mile 10.4). The next segment travels through Silverton, followed by a one-half mile climb in the southern heights of Silverton. End up at highway 213 via Valley View Rd. The next portion is the Abiqua out and back. Ride South Abiqua Rd to the bridge across Abiqua Creek. Return to highway 213 on Abiqua Rd NE. The next stop is Scotts Mills park. Unfortunately, it was closed due to considerable ice storm tree damage from two weeks ago. Noticed the remains of two downed power poles near the park entrance. The final 12 miles is on relatively quiet country roads, going into Monitor and then back to the school via Wagon Rd.
