The weather is starting to cool down. The temperature was in the mid to upper 70's with winds from the north west. My legs felt ok at the start. I did better time than I expected for the first half of the ride. I made it to OTR in a bit over 20 minutes. I did good time going up Banducci. I was able to push it over the top of the wall. I made it to the summit in good time. I think just over 36 minutes. I'm not sure if I had a tailwind at the time, but not likely. I took a 1 minute break and then commenced the downhill. Again, mostly fun and games. Practicing my tuck skills. I did good tempo out to SS and over the summit. I wanted to collect a blue ground marker on the ground, left over from the GranFondo. I managed to remove one from the ground about half a mile from the SS summit. I ended up getting another just a few hundred yards away from Country Club on the way back. I made it to the tunnel in around 1:01. I don't know what it was, but I felt a bit light headed shortly after continuing after stopping to retrieve the marker. I think the weather cooled off and I needed to get warmed up. Suffice it to say, about 5 minutes later, when I picked up the pace to good tempo, I felt better. I exited and did moderate tempo to Pelliser. From there, I kept the tempo moderate and increased to good. I did this all the way to CVR climb. I think I reached Boss Hogs in around 1:21 hours. The last climb was mostly high tempo with a push over the top. I recovered on the false flats and had fun going down Route 202. I was able to put in a short sprint to make the left hander into OTR. From there, it was mostly fun and games. Like I mentioned, I picked up a blue ground marker and then finished the ride. Concentration was spot on, very few lapses. Ailments consisted of mild lower back soreness. Maybe some mild knee pains that went away just as quick. Balance and form was good. I'm debating on raising the saddle. Gear is working great. I think some clicks here and there. I haven't tightened the chainrings (bolts) yet. So, I'll have to get on that before the next ride. Other notes, I only saw 1 other rider. I saw a handful of deer on OTR and two more as I was about to make the summit on Banducci. I didn't stop to take photos this time.
