Start of our first bike packing adventure at Boat of Garten. Big thanks goes out to Nash Masson and his team at Ride Cairngorms ( https://ridescotland.com/) for installing our extended battery on our Focus eBikes. Stop for very welcome cappuccino at Loch Insch water sports centre, then on to Feshie bridge. We had deer jumping across the road in front of us, sadly my GoPro battery chose this moment to die! Then it was on to the Kingussie flood plain, one of the biggest in the country, with an amazing RSPB viewing hide. Spectacular views of the Ruthven Barracks over looking Kingussie, and then on to Newtonmore. Drop off the panniers and cake stop, then off to the hills following the river Calder up Glen Banchor, slightly rougher roads than we had been on all day, but worth it for the views.
