The weather is getting cooler. In the mid/upper 60's. Winds from the north west. It was cloudy, but no rain at the time of the ride. (it rained in the morning). I was feeling under the weather for the past few days. I was getting that sensation that my body was having problems recovering. Hence, the brief ride today. I felt average going out the door. I took it easy for the first 4 to 5 miles. I made it to the end of OTR in about 22 minutes or so. I climbed Banducci at moderate tempo and kicked it over the top, as there were cars waiting to pass from behind. After that, I continued with moderate tempo for the most part. I think I reached the summit in a good average time of 38 minutes. After reaching the summit, I took a 1 minute break. Assessed the weather conditions in CV. It looked safe. Clouds, but no sign of precipitation. So, I was all in for the ride. The descent to CV was fun and games, as usual. After reaching Pelliser, I did moderate tempo, and more of the same to the last climb. On the last climb, I kept the tempo between moderate and good. I made a dig over the top. After that, it was recovery, moderate temp across the false flat and fun and games from Route 202, back to the door. My concentration was good, very few lapses. Ailments were next to none. I had some mild right knee soreness. I think it persisted for a few minutes. Balance and form was good. I think I'm going to install the new cleats soon. Gear is working well. Although, the Gopro was turned off when I got back home. No clue if that was my fault, but likely. Some mystery noises from the bike. I'm guessing it's the cleats. Will have to see after I replace them. The new wheels continue to feel good. Great in the cross winds and very light and responsive. Other notes, I saw two cyclists today. One guy with huge backpack and a lady taking photos on the CV climb.
