Spent way too much time replacing front wheel spoke and truing it; patching two holes and checking wheel true; lower rear radar and install new front lights mount and mount lights but it all had to be done.
Now about the ride: Initially this was going to be a short ride but got a little carried away at the beginning, I paid for it too. While I was still feeling good I did pass two other riders going up a long gradual incline of about 1% - 3% grade for about a mile. This ride was one of my hillier local rides which was not easy on me and was bout 10 miles too long, everything started to hurt and burn and I felt so out of shape too! To make matters worse the wind picked up on the 2nd half of the ride which was mostly a headwind all the way back home. With 2 miles to go I did something really dumb I made left turn but lost my line and ended up riding off the road into the dirt and thought I was going to crash... I held it together and some how made it safely back onto the road. That got my heart rate up not like it wasn't already up!!! It was still nice to get out to ride in the day light as I was expecting another post mid-night ride.
Quick note about rear radar; got better pick up range with it as low as possible, I also found out that any vehicle behind a large SUV, Van, PU truck or Truck is not picked up unless it is more than 2 or 3 car length back but not until all vehicles bunched together pass, do you get an all clear green bar. The radar only works by line of site, will not pick up around a bend or over a hill. I wasn't sure if I would like it but it works and if you pay attention to it, My only grip is the warning tone your bike computer gives isn't loud enough especially when the wind noise is blasting by your ears and you are not scanning you computer. It did alert me several times when I was more concentrating on the ride or road debris that a car was approaching.
