Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today was the first complete ride since the recent spill. The weather was great. In the upper 70's / low 80's, winds from the north west. I felt good out the door. I got warmed up in no time. This is the second ride (if my memory serves me well) since I installed the new Ultegra Di2 11 speed kit, so a good deal of my concentration was diverted in that respect. I made it to the top of the descent in good time. About 1 minute faster than average. I cruised the downhill, getting out of the saddle on the risers and rolling terrain. When I reached the base, I made the usual U-ee and commenced the climb. I felt lively and so did my bike. I was able to hold good tempo for most of the climb. I am still sore in the ribs. I'm still unable to do deep breathing. I'd say I'm about 80% recovered. Enough to feel comfortable on the ride. My concentration was good. I was spending most of my time concentrating on the gear selection. I actually used the 34T in some cases. At about 8.5 to 9 mph in that gear, I do about 90 rpm. It's nice to have that one less gear to recover from hard out of the saddle efforts. I was also putting my attention to the functionality of the components. More specifically, and chain rubbing or shifting problems. Gear is getting dialed in. I think I have the rear derailleur about as best as it will get. I noticed some chain rub while in the little/big ring/cog. I'll have to adjust it by a mm or so. The front derailleur seems to require a bit of extra effort to shift to the outer ring while on the bike rack. It works best while doing 50+ rpm. I'm not sure if this is an issue, but I'm going to keep an eye on it. I also need to by a "support plate" for the support bolt. Refer to the Front Derailleur diagram. Ailments consisted of right hand numbness. Some minor cramping in the lower right leg. I think I need some more time in the saddle for my muscles to adjust to the new position (saddle adjust to rear-wards). Balance and form feels better with the saddle adjustment. I think I'm headed in the right direction. I'm going to do some new strength and core exercises on my off days. My rationale is that I want to improve the strength of my legs. In particular the lower leg muscles. Other notes, I saw a cyclist going down to Keene as I was climbing back.
Other notes. My right knee has been bothering me lately. I'm icing it about every other day. It feels better when I ride. I also have a saddle sore that I'm treating. So far, it's under control
