Today was the first ride since Wednesday of last week. It was a rehab ride. My right side ribs are still sore, mainly on the inside. I still have troubles coughing, sneezing, sometimes BM, making sudden movements with my arm. Deep breathing also agitates. I tend to get more sore as the day goes on. I feel best when I'm sitting or laying down. As for today's ride... I changed the saddle position on my bike. I moved it back by about 1/2 cm. Initial experience is that it slightly improved. It's difficult to say, because of my ailment. I will likely ride a few days from now with the current configuration. I received the Brunton All Day 2.0 battery unit for the Gopro Hero 4 Black camera. I've run it through 2 exhaustive test runs (off the bike). I've determined that it lasts approximately 7:15 hours. While mounted to the bike, I was concerned that the camera would pitch up due to it's changed center of gravity. More investigating on this as I do longer bike rides. But, on this ride, it showed no signs of movement. Other new kit is a new helmet and jersey. The helmet is by bell, a titanium color. My initial impressions are that it's more comfortable and of comparable aesthetics to my previous helmet. The jersey is by Pearlizumi and identical to what I currently have, including the color blue.
Other notes to mention... I felt sore on the bike as I got out of the saddle, going over bumps in the road, and getting into a low profile position. Otherwise a generalized sensation of discomfort and weekness. I felt slightly nauseous after getting back home. Right now, I continue to feel some soreness, but the nausea has minimized.
