Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was perfect for riding. Nice and cool, mid 60's and winds from the north west. I wore 1 base layer, and standard kit. My stomach was aching a bit earlier in the day, but got better by the time I was ready to shove off. I felt good from the get-go. It didn't take me that much time to get warmed up. My HR monitor wasn't detected by the Edge 810, so I had to ride without that metric. It wasn't a big deal. I did average time to route 202. doing mostly moderate tempo. The climb up Highline was mostly moderate tempo as well. A bit of a push over the top, but nothing heroic. The winds were more of a tail-cross. I decided to take it easy, doing moderate tempo, out of the saddle when necessary and stretching when I could. After reaching WS, I turned around and commenced the return trip. I started modest and picked up the pace as I went. I kept the tempo nice and steady, getting out of the saddle often. I did a slight push over the summit. Once over, I put it into cruise control and made my way home. My concentration was sketchy at times, no serious lapses, but moments of drifting too far in the mind. Balance and form was ok. Not great. I was having issues on the out-bound leg. I just didn't feel the legs hooking up symmetrical. I forgot to implement toe down technique and will have to remember that the next time I do this ride. Ailments were next to none. Gear is working well, although the bike is making louder mystery clicks as I get out of the saddle. I also discovered that the Edge 810 had a feature for detecting metrics from the Di2 components such as gear selection. I plan on contacting Garmin for more info on this. Other notes, I was surprised that I didn't see any other cyclists today.
Other notes for gear. Just to reiterate that my HR wasn't working today. Perhaps a new battery is in order.
Other notes, apparently the GPS wasn't recording the course map metrics. I think I forgot to reset the Live tracking app.
