The latest bike fit adjustments on the Tarmac worked out well, everything was perfect, I think! I started out on the easy side and when I got 5 miles I started to pick up the pace a little and at 6 miles I hit large piece of gravel at the same location I hit one on Saturday but this time I got a pretty big pinch flat.Almost as soon as I got the rear tire off a nice driver stopped to check on me, there still nice people around. I checked the tire then changed the tube The GatorSkin tire was so easy to get off and on. I normally have tire liners in but I didn't put them in because I figured the extra protection the GatorSkin wouldn't need them. Not sure if it would have stop the pinch flat but I will put them in to be on the safe side. I started back up on the ride now debating if I wanted to go shorter or just do the planned ride. after a few miles I forgot about the flat and was back up to speed and a few more miles I saw a rider a head of me make a left turn and thought about following but decided to stay on route and maybe I would see him later, which was a slim chance but it was wishful thinking. The cool temps, low humidity and low wind made the ride perfect for a hard ride so now 11 miles in I started increase my effort/wattage and speed everything going great no real body pains for the next 10 or so miles. So with about 20 miles to go I could feel my lower back starting to hurt and the pain progressed as I continued to push the effort. I'm not sure if this is due to the bike fit or the effort. I will try to duplicate the same effort on the Foil to see if it causes my back to hurt. I had to take a pit stop with 11 miles to go. I don't really remember but I think the pain eased up for a bit, I got into a zone and don't remember a whole lot as I worked my way home keeping the effort up, I actually felt good about my effort and my legs were less sore after the ride than before, a good thing...
