I was going to get out earlier but unexpected things held me up, Then I was held up when the Prefontain Classic Track and Field came on. I was trying to do a few more things to the bike as some new parts came in. When I was out and finally ready to ride, I started realized the lights were off so I turn them on and nothing... I forgot to put in the fully charged batteries, so back I had to go. Finally out and noticed the HR wasn't working I had put in a new battery but didn't short the system to accept the new battery, (sometimes you need to install battery backwards then remove and install correctly). I thought I would stop somewhere to do this but I never did. When I got back home I checked the battery I installed it backwards and ran down the new battery, I installed another battery to make sure it was still working, Good to go was working!. Back to the ride, It was very humid and the air was wet as well as the roads, It must have rained while I was watching the Track and Field Classics... many new records or near records, a very nice track championships, I miss those days when I was competing in track, I digressed. I wasn't sure how far or exactly where I was going to ride. I had an idea and it was going to be 30-40 miles. Once I got to the main road I was going to go to Rte 70, 4 mile circle back to Lakehurst Circle and return home. When I got to 4 mile Circle I decided to go to Marlton Rte 541 to Mt Holly and back home which would have given me 44 miles, I decided to get 50 miles so back to Rte 70 and then back home. I must have missed some more rain as I got back to Rte 70 the roads were wet and as the trucks passed it felt I was being rained on. Parts of the ride it was pretty breezy but for the most part it seemed somewhat calm. It was an enjoyable ride only one car about 6 miles into the ride "Yell" at me because of my bright lights. Saw a number of police cars sitting off the road with lights off looking for speeders... so be careful while driving and keep your speed down especially at night.
