This ride was to complete my goal for the day. I only needed 22 miles but went 4+ miles. The reason the ride started so late was it took me that long from the time I got home to make 3 tube repairs, check tire for cause of tire punctures and remove the two pieces of the valve extender that fell inside the wheel 60mm deep rim, (it wasn't an easy task by any stretch of the imagination). This was the start of my troubles more on that in a few.... The ride was very nice, I was tired, sleepy, and very hungry. It was a perfect time to ride the rain, lightning and wind storm had all passed by, the air was clean with low humidity. I was tempted to go much longer but I talked myself out of it and glad I did. My mission was completed and happy I was until I turned on my computer to load up my ride. My computer would get past the Windows logo. I thought I had this happen several times before but only once did it result in a bad situation. So, did several things that could remember and nothing so now it was time to go to my lap top that I had not used in several months, as you may figured it was also doing exactly The same thing, tried all the same procedures in an attempt to get it working, no such luck! So out came came my cell phone to search the web on clues on how to repair this issue. I spent the rest of the night until just before noon time when I fell asleep waiting for one of the attempted fixes to finish. Woke 4 hours later and saw the last attempt was a failure, This went on day and night with very little sleep until Saturday just before midnight that I finally the computer to partially work. I now tried a few other tricks to but it was a dangerous one, the Problem was either with Windows launching process or driver glitch or virus or hardware glitch or a combination. So this process I was going to do was rename the c drive, and run a special format process that clean and clear drive while maintaining the integrity of all the files and software. This was a long time consuming process. Took me into late morning hours, the process completed but did not go as planned. Now I couldn't mount the drive at all. More time I figured a way to access the second drive as a work around. I had rename the drive back to c:, running chkdsk command I was to see what happened to the drive, it changed it from NTFS to RAW. so now all files are not recognized I tried a few times to convert the files back no luck I was able to get the drive back to NTFS but no luck on the files. There is a software app that is supposed to be able to convert it over. So there is still hope but I have an old backup that is 3 years old that I was able to access for now. As I have said at least 6 times in the past I will follow a strict backup habit. This time I will use a paid app that will streamline the process and do it automatically, so This never happens to me again... so tired!
