It was a damp as it just finished raining on my way out to meet Lynn, Neal and Mathew of the 3 Amigos, Omar and Dave, couldn't pass up a ride with my old time and new riding buddies for a Metric Century! the temps at the start wasn't to bad but it started to heat up and got much more humid, for me it was too much! The ride was going great nice and fast until it wasn't... I was having a blast with the group until our stop at the WaWa on Rte 72 & 70 circle, when I started to feel weird, felt like my body started to heat up too much, my stomach got queasy I had a very slow roll out and it took me a few miles to finally get back on the wheels of the group, it was a struggle to get to the Hot Dog stand where we did a regroup. From there I was going back home solo that's when it got ugly, everything went bad; started to sweat in buckets but I couldn't eat or drink because how bad my stomach was feeling I did force my self to drink because all the fluid I was loosing. My left knee, lower back, arms, neck were all yelling as loud as they could! I was only rolling at 12-14 mph, I was hoping things would get better but it never did... I even thought of calling for a car ride back but decided against it, figuring as long as I could maintain this steady pace and wasn't getting dizzy, I was good. I was able to pick up the pace with 8 miles to go but it wasn't easy! I am definitely not a hot weather rider anymore. When I finally got home I was so drained I kept falling asleep, I know part of the drain was because I didn't do anything physical but sit in front of the computer for 5 complete days. With PerfPro Analyzer I ran what my ride would had been before the last 17 miles. *** 2:17:17 time; 45 miles; 19.7 mph; 151 watts; 162 HR; 92 cad ***
