Late November Dirt

it was not really a WARM day, with starting temp at 10am being 43, though it did get to 50 about the time we stopped. But good enough to be outside in the weak sunshine and on the bike.

Got the layers right -- started off chilly but was warm after 2 miles. Wore leggings for the first time (not tights, sleeves for your legs below the shorts) this season and was glad. Wicking layer on the upper body, with a second warmth layer, with a sleeveless nylon-type coat on top of that. Usual fingerless gloves. No hat under the helmet.

Still got some conditioning, it turns out, and felt pretty good the whole way, other than the usual awful climb at Mile 6. w/Mark, Dan

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
