First Ride of '22

Annnnd with a reportable incident. Ride scheduled for 26 but ended up shorter after riding companion broke his seatpost. He had to ride standing up from 16.4 to the end, even with a bailout down White Store Road.

Otherwise, more freaky weather -- highs in the 60s IN JANUARY following an overnight rain. Roads were pretty wet to begin with but got better after about 5 miles. Mostly cloudy most of the time, but not the least bit windy. Even got a tiny shower starting about Mile 15 til the Great Seat Post Breakage.

Felt good, coulda gone farther/faster but wanted to ride with my companions, not drop 'em.

Hopefully mechanical issues and getting rained on are not a symbol of what's ahead this year ;-)

    Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.

  • TCX History

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
