Well, it's a low bar since it's only March, but we'll take it anyway. Not unpleasant temps -- low 50s -- but sharp, strong, cold NW wind made it seem cooler than it was. Was quite the relief to get into stream valleys and out of the wind, but there was plenty of exposure on hill crests, especially the open ones. Felt good; pretty tired after, though. Trails in fabulous shape for March -- dry, grippy, fast. Very very few mud spots. Came back between Muncaster Mill Road and Muncaster Road (yeah, two diff roads, go figure) on the unofficial creekside trail to avoid further climbing (we were tired!), then climbed up Muncaster Road to avoid more climbs and especially a bad creek crossing that usually involves wet feet. Even with the beginning of spring pollen season, felt good, breathed good; was appropriately tired at the end of 2.5-hour (moving time) ride. W/Dan
