Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

I did three Zwift Watopia rides today. I started out with the 1.5 W/kg pace group. It I stayed with them a couple of miles. The motivation wasn't there, so I decided to do a solo ride. I decided on the Ocean Lava Cliffside route. It's about 12 miles in distance and had about 500 feet of climbing. It took a while before the legs started to feel warmed up. By the end of the ride I was sweating. While riding, I decided to hop into the C (2.5 W/kg) group after crossing the finish. The C group felt just right. I was in the zone, but I wasn't maxed out. I was able to sit in the field and get a good workout at the same time. I put in one lap with this group. Goes to show a good warmup helps. Concentration was good. After that initial warmup, everything started to align. Balance and form felt good. Ailments, left hand numbness. Nutrition was good. I drank less than half my Gatorade. No water. Gear worked perfect once I got everything paired. Other notes, there were over 3000 riders when I hopped on.
