I needed a ride that was somewhat recovery and sufficient. So, went to Keene. The legs felt good to start. The weather is fantastic! In the low 60's, winds from the South West. I made it to the top of the descent in good average time. I cruised the downhill. I put in two digs over the risers. I don't recall checking the time when I reached the base. I stopped to check the FordPass app and then headed back up the mountain. The legs were good to start. Credit due to the good weather more than anything. The knees feel real good. No signs of buckling or soreness. I kept the tempo steady, no red-lining or going for PB's today. The miles went fast. There was some traffic mitigation, but not too excessive. I reached the summit with room to spare. Exactly how I wanted it. I'll be increasing my mileage and difficulty till I get the chance to ride Calienete. Concentration was good. The morale was good. Listing to the music helped. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I drank less than half my Gatorade, no water. Balance and form was good. Ailments, some hand soreness. Gear worked perfect. The bike was creaking just a bit as I was approaching the summit of the descent (on my way out). I reseated the rear wheel. From that point on, I don't recall hearing the mystery creaks. Other notes, there were no other cyclists today. There were no spectators at the Loop Monument.
