Met Lan at Backhaus Bread for some pastries but I was late leaving. When I got there the line was huge and Lan was near the back of it.
We decided to bail and go to Starbucks instead.
The weather was all over the place. Last night I saw that it was going to rain overnight but it was dry in the morning. It was supposed to be very windy and not really that warm so I dressed what I thought was appropriately. Instead I was over-dressed. For the first part of the ride anyway.
Halfway climbing up Kings, it started to sprinkle and the more we climbed the wetter it got. It was also getting colder. At the top we put our layers back on and made the decision to head back down Kings instead of going along Skyline.
Descending Kings was very cold and even though it was dry and warmer once we got down, I was shivering from the wet clothes.
We had brunch at Buck’s and didn’t really warm back up until I got some warm food in me.
Then we were a little behind schedule and late for Lan to meet her friend. A combination of me not knowing where we needed to go and Lan not being familiar with the roads and following Google’s directions led to some confusion. We figured it out.
The wind was terrible at times but, luckily, not quite as bad as I was expecting.
Just bummed I didn’t get any good pastries.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
