Another nice trip staring in Malaga and leading to Axarquia, east micro-region of Malaga Province. Enough km's and elevation too. You start by climbing famous pass Puerto del Leon above city of Malaga and then keep on along Natural Park Montes de Malaga to village Colmenar. On your right side you will get amazing views over Axarquia in generally inclusive Peak Santopitar, Comares or Peak Maroma further away. Going through Colmenar you have to turn for Riogordo through local road A-7204. It is nice and fast 7 km long descent with some destroyed parts but there is always enough space to go through ongoing lane :-). Riogordo is another white village of Axarquia with possibilities of refreshment. Than you continue on A-7204 following signs for Mondron / Periana / Viñuela. After another 5 km you will finish climb to pass called Puerto Sabar (590 m.a.s.). At that moment all is over. You will descent and then keep on undulating road through Mondron / Periana to Viñuela facing Peak Maroma in front and Lake Viñuela on your right side. Then you enter road A-402 in city Viñuela for few meters but soon turn left to continue on the same A-7204 local road to Trapiche / Velez-Malaga. Then you have to enter main road to go to Torre del Mar. In Torre del Mar you will meet coastal road N-340 leading back to Malaga. Last 30 flat km to relax along shoreline.
