A day of precious relationship, accomplishment, celebration, and processing. I’m sending photos of my first two views of the ocean, and I had to laugh at crossing two passes, each less than 1000 feet in elevation.😁 I decided to stay the night in Newport instead of turning around and heading home. I had wanted to see the sunset and just have time before heading back to life & my responsibilities at home. So many emotions today, I am running through the gamut of them. It’s mostly good but not completely. The view from my room is so beautiful. I am grateful. And beyond tired. I was slow getting here today, incl a Philomath stop at a bike shop for my tires and kickstand, but tomorrow morning I need to leave early for an appt. A friend is picking me up in my van that has my bike rack on it, so this was my last ride of the trip. I’m not sure how well I will continue riding, but will try. I finally feel like I crossed that hump into distance riding and periodically find my stride, and it feels so good! My total mileage was over 4,400. I want to thank you personally for joining me on this amazing journey. It means the world to me, and enriched my trip when I sometimes felt like you were with me. Cheering me on. Interested. Concerned for my safety and praying. Writing. I just am so grateful for you. I experienced and learned so much. My life is richer and stronger. It’s hard to believe it is accomplished.
