First visit with Mom and Dick since being gone on the Trans Am. Had a sweet visit and wonderful breakfast, first one since being sick, and I feel good. I had to force myself to get out on my bike, preferred my couch and book, but so glad I did. I discovered that I have found my stride, my pace. My legs and body feel good riding, I am enjoying it, and just wanted to keep going and going. It was hard to quit but I have things to do. I met Tabitha, I think she’s on meth. She was pulling a wagon. Listened to her, prayed for her, listened more. When she asked for a hug I gave her a great big one, then prayed for her more, she said amen and thanked me over and over, said no one has ever stopped for her before. I saw her safely across the street but didn’t offer anything more, but she was grateful. God, how can that be enough? Just got an idea. She wanted fireworks to surprise her mom, I know where she lives, I could get some and take them to her without giving her money that could be used to harm herself with drugs. That is a simple thing I can do!
