Today was the first ride with company (Peggy). We're trying to get some bikes for Rob and Luke, should they wish to join us or go on solo adventures. The weather was great. We got out before 11AM, it was in the low 80's, winds from the North West. It was a relaxing ride. No heroics. All about sharing the adventure. All went well. The body felt good, so I was able to concentrate on the group ride. I had to adjust the rear derailleur on the mountain bike last night. It's working like a charm! I had to keep track of time because I had an appointment at 2PM with CC. We made it to the end of the Walmart bike path in time. The return trip was quicker than the outbound. My calculations were spot on. I made it back home with an hour to spare. Concentration was good. The morale felt good. It's nice to have someone else to ride with on one of my routes. Nutrition was good. I had one Gatorade bottle. Some water. I bought another Gatorade powder canister. The one I was using seems to have expired. Will compare the new one and see if there's a change in the flavor and effectiveness. Balance and form was ok. I felt a slight lean to the left. Gear worked perfect for both bikes. Ailments, next to none. The right knee hinted on tenderness, but subsided after about 10 to 15 minutes. Other notes, no other cyclists today.
