Byron-Dixon Road Metric 7-10-22

D'Emonda. Sunny, lovely temps in the 70's with fairly low humidity, minimal winds starting in the East, shifting to SSE. Great ride, first time riding in the Rock River Valley in several years. Many of the roads familiar from past rides in the Tour of Scenic Ogle County (TOSOC) out of Stillman Valley and the Ronald Regan Heritage Ride out of Dixon. But... I think a few of the locations were somewhat new for me.

On the way, rode through Mt Morris, Grand Detour, Lost Nation, Daysville and Oregon. Did some hard hill pulls and wound up with a respectable average speed considering the amount of climbing. After the ride, stopped at The Hairy Cow Brewery in Byron for food & rehydration. Nice location on the Rock River, good wings and gluten free pizza.

TSS: 147, IF: 62. Avg: 161W, Max: 778W, Norm: 174W, +3,500 ft. climbing.

    Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.

  • GPX Track (.gpx)

    Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
