My comment on Margaret's ride that she was one of the few ride leaders who could still navigate by using a scruffy piece of paper instead of a GPS unit acted like a red rag to a bull as far as Lawrie was concerned. "I am taking you somewhere new without using my GPS", he said confidently. Eleven of us followed him to the Portuguese cafe on the Bath road (nothing new here). A few dropped out at this point possibly worried that we would be lost all day. Four of us then followed Lawrie to the Barmy Arms (nothing new again). The pub had a band playing and we noticed that Lawrie's hips had started to sway "Oh no! He is going into auto rumba mode", we cried. Luckily we managed to persuade him to go to the White Swan a few hundred yards down the road which we have not used before. Post lunch Lawrie then went into new territory mode and found a cunning route through Hounslow to the Royal Oak in Isleworth (another new stop). Thence back to the White House at Stockly Park for dispersal. Sally, Jim and I had another cheeky half at the Red Lion on Hillingdon Hill before going home.
Well done Lawrie you did us proud.
DISSEMINATION of USEFUL INFORMATION of the DAY AWARD goes to Sally for her "This is where people come for dogging".
Gossip of the day: Clive mentioned that Ann was not coming out riding as she was going to confessional. I suspect that this will have left the priest in a quandary over his ecclesiastical vows and his civic duty.

Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.
