This completed ☑️ my first back-to-back century rides! To top it off I got a flat tire, but was able to roll my bike under an overpass for shade and a bit of a breeze. 20 miles shy of home. It was REALLY good practice, the back tire again. Wires again… two of them! I could examine my tires every evening before plugging in … could maybe avoid this? I tried and tried but couldn’t break the bead this time. [Welcome back to the friendly West Coast… I worked on my bike for a full 30 minutes and no one pulled over.] But honestly I was trying to become capable at it myself for when I really have no one else to depend upon. In the end I called Terrie Hill who broke the bead and pumped it up for me. I was so grateful because it took fully two hours and I was really tired from the inside out. So 206 miles this weekend, plus figuring out the flat. A special accomplishment, and I am pleased. Came home and crashed without food or shower for several hours. Getting up at 4:30a to hike Lookout Mountain, excited about that!
