This ride begins at the Oregon City Interp Center. Head through town on Main St to get to the OC/West Linn bridge. Cross the bridge and take a quick left onto Willamette Falls Drive (first short, steep hill). After about 1/2 mile, veer right onto Sunset (second steep hill). Sunset Ave becomes Cornwall St. just after Sussex St. Continue climbing on Cornwall, which becomes Summit Drive at Oxford St. Eventually this comes to a stop sign at Rosemont. Turn left onto Rosemont for a few more rollers before the long descent toward Stafford. At the roundabout, do nearly a 270 degree turn to stay on Stafford going south.
Enjoy the long descent on Stafford to Wankers Corner. At the roundabout take the first exit to Borland. Ride Borland Rd. to SW 65th. Just after turning onto 65th from Borland is the third steep hill (11-14%). Fortunately, there is a steep downhill leading into it. Stay on 65th for several more steep rollers back to Stafford Rd. Go right onto Stafford for about 1 mile then turn left onto Homesteader Rd. Another short, steep climb awaits. After a downhill, there is another 9-11% short hill to deal with, before reaching SW Mountain Rd. Turn left onto SW Mountain Rd for another gradual climb. Go past the fire station to Schaeffer Rd. Turn right onto Schaeffer for another long climb (7-10%). Finally, at Pete's Mtn Rd turn left. This is a long, steep downhill. There is a short climb just after crossing the bridge over the Tualatin River. Turn right onto Willamette Falls Drive at the stop sign and continue across the OC/West Linn bridge. For some bonus miles, turn right onto Abernathy then right onto Redland Rd. Go as far as desired then turn around and return to Abernathy Rd and then on Washington St to the Interp Center.
