I decided to do Tour de Teh(R). The reason being that I want to wait till I get my new saddle before doing an extended ride. It turned out to be just the ride I wanted. The weather continues to be warm, but the air is on the cool side. Winds from the North West. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit of OTR in good time. The Banducci Wall had some traffic mitigation. More of the same to the summit. The body responded well. I reached the summit in about 38 minutes or so. I took a few moments rest, let traffic by and then headed down the mountain. They repaved Banducci from the summit to as far as I could see. The pavement is very rough! So much that I had to hold back. They should have compacted the pavement. No clue why they didn’t. Nevertheless, I made it to the base in one piece, no close calls. From there, I headed through the farmlands. Keeping the tempo moderate. I hope they repave this part of the farmlands because it is really needed. I made it to Boss Hogs in about 59 minutes or so. The wind was in my favor. When I reached the base of the last climb, I pulled over to check the GoPro battery. It had plenty left for the remainder of the ride. Route 202 had minimal traffic mitigation. I made it to OTR with out delay. I was able to relax on the descent. I pushed it over Mariposa and then made my way back home. I shut it down after making it to the top of Weston. Concentration was good. I had a few things to think about. Gear worked perfect. Balance and form were good. Nutrition was good. No hunger signs. I had all my Gatorade and some water. Ailments were minimal. Some right upper knee soreness. Perhaps an indicator to raise the saddle height. Other notes, no other cyclists today. I passed a runner or two.
