I tried the new saddle for the first time outdoors. I decided to do an "easy" ride to test it out. I wore regular cycling shorts because I've decided to buy new Bib's. I bought some from PerformanceBike. ETA Sat. or Monday. The saddle feels conforming. More-so than my old one. The sit bones feel better supported. The cutout feels compliant. So, first impressions are good. The saddle height and fore-aft adjustment is necessary. I'm going to return the other saddle I purchased from Specialized. The ride itself went as I anticipated. It's hot out, and I got out a bit later than normal. The knees feel ok. Lower back is ok. The sitbones feel ok, thus far. My MP3 Speaker broke along the end of the strap, so it can't be fastened. I used electric tape to secure it. It worked like a charm. Concentration was average. The morale wasn't so good going out the door. Balance and form was good, considering the saddle hasn't been adjusted much. Gear worked good. I had to adjust the rear derailleur towards the smaller sprokets. Nutrition was good. No signs of hunger, I had most of my Gatorade, no water. Other notes. No cyclists today.
