Following me out of Uxbridge were Francis, Colin F, Jim H, Jim S, Ray, and Roy.
Elevenses at Pinewood Nurseries, Wexham Street were reached via Iver Village and Langley Park. Thankfully the sun had not made an appearance and the Prop House Café was reasonably cool.
Refreshed we continued minus Colin who was returning home. We cycled through Stoke Poges and skirted Farnham Common and Egypt Woods to Littleworth Common and on past Cliveden to lunch at The Feathers, Taplow Common. The sun had made its appearance on the way and we were grateful for a well shaded table outside.
After lunch Francis left us to catch train home from Taplow Station while us five swooped© down past Burnham to Dorney where we joined the Jubilee River Path. A quick thrash along the river in the increasing heat was followed by a ride through Upton and Ditton Parks, Langley Marish, and Middle Green to take tea at Iver Golf Club.
After the break Ray and Roy returned to Uxbridge by road while Jim, Jim, and I returned on the GUC Slough Branch and main line to Cowley Lock where Jim H and myself headed towards Hillingdon stopping at The Red Lion for much need liquid replenishment.
