Twelve riders gathered at Uxbridge to follow Lawrie to where?
The Barmy Arms at Twickenham was the chosen destination and Lawrie led out to Cranford for elevenses at the Moniz Café. While there concern was voiced that the Barmy Arms might be having a barbecue which wasn’t great last time we tried it. After a discussion the lunch venue was changed to The Town Wharf, Isleworth.
Don and John H left us here while Lawrie led is across Hounslow Heath, down the Crane River Path, where Dave P left us to investigate the Shot Tower, through the centre the fragment Mogden Sewage Treatment Plant, past Twickenham Stadium to The Town Wharf at Isleworth and lunch. The pub is under new management and runs a full, well priced menu on Sundays.
After a lunch we returned via Osterley Park - again!! - to Stockley Park for tea after which we dispersed. A good ride due to the enthusiasm from the leader.
