Everything was going smoothly getting ready for the ride but as I was getting the bike ready to take out the door, I knocked over a container with a bunch of papers, pencils, markers and numerous other items all over the floor. Had to pick them up before I could get bike out the door... nearly 10 minutes, finally out the door and turn on all my different gadgets and went to load Garmin ride map but wanted to do route in reverse, I couldn't find the option so I started as it was thinking maybe I would remember how to do it before I meet u p with Albert, no luck! Good thing I know the route without the Garmin. The route worked out marvelously and was better done in reverse, it was more difficult with the hills but it made the ride more challenging and entertaining! Traffic was better this way too except for the knuckle headed drivers that would buzz us because they wanted to ride tight up to the shoulder or as close to us as possible even when the next lane was wide open! For the most part the route was a joy to do. We got dusted by a rider at the Rte 206 and Medford-Chatsworth Rd intersection, we thought about catching up with the rider but he was in a zone, riding 21-22 mph and we weren't even half way into our ride 0yet. I thought it was prudent to let him go and go, he went... he was out of site in moments never to be seen again. We even attempted to see if his speed was short lived, but it wasn't!!! We only seen a few riders until we stopped before we parted ways in the time we chatted we were passed going the opposite way by about 8 riders, the most we saw the whole 86+ miles of which the route covered some of the most used roads by cyclist in entire area, but then we were out there way before most get out to ride! Until our next adventure see you on the road, be safe out there too... 👍🏼💪🏼🚵🚴🏼♂️😎
