Long Prairie Trail Ride 9-05-22

Checkpoint. Mostly sunny, cool, fairly brisk NE winds not much of a factor in the woods, felt like a beautiful Fall day. Rode with Dave Frable, started at the trailhead just East of Capron and turned around almost at Roscoe at the Old Stone Bridge, which was built in 1882 back when this was a RR track.

Lots of people out, mixed surface trail with some poorly maintained pavement and quite a few sections of dirt, gravel and limestone, which was preferable. Just enough water to make the whole trip without stopping to refill. Good speed for a trail ride. Fairly flat railroad grade.

Stopped at More Brewing in Huntley for rehydration and a light lunch.
