Went riding in the afternoon today. It was cold, probably in the low 40's. I wore full gear today, and I needed it. The wind prevailed from the North. So, there was a strong headwind on the way back. I made it to the top of the descent in under 8 minutes, which was quicker than I had anticipated. The downhill was just cruising. There was no construction today, so no delays. The way back up, I just tried to keep a steady tempo, the headwind was real strong. So, ailments, prettty much none, but fighting the wind and cold proved to be almost as bad. Balance was good. Concentrartion was in and out. I had to constantly encourage myself to stay focused. I think I should have turned my walkman off, as the headwind was making so much noise, I could hardly hear myself breathing. I turned the walkman off on the last 10-15 minutes. I was able to focus a little better after that. The GPS continues to have problems picking up the HR monitor. I'm going to send an email to Garmin and see if they have any suggestions, otherwise, it'll get RMA'd. Gopro is working well. I kept it on live mode on the way back. The bike is working well, I have to check the shifting, though. I couldn't really tell, but it seemed to be mis-shifting over the ascent. Today turned out to be one of those days where I just wanted to get it under my belt. And that's what I did! PHEW!
