Estimated Time shows a prediction of how long it would take you to ride a given route. This number is based on your recent riding history, and represents an estimate of moving time. Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.

Today's weather was a bit on the warm side, but comfortable. Winds from the North West. I wore the standard kit, w/ 1 base layer. My arm coolers came yesterday, but didn't fit. I ordered the next size up, Large. ETA tomorrow. I felt average going out the door. Somewhat lethargic, as I did not take my morning nap. I adjusted my cleat position to add about 1mm of outer stance. I think it's better, but I need to confirm on the next ride or two before the next adjustment, if needed. I cruised my way to the top of the descent and spared no time to descend down the mountain. I was soft pedaling most of the way down. I was just trying to keep my mind awake, as is almost always the case when I don't get my morning nap after breakfast. Nevertheless, I made it down in one piece, in about average time. I turned around immediately after reaching the base. My body was responding well on the climb. I was able to settle into a good tempo, burning my matches on the steeper sections. Given that today was a semi-double, I knew I could put more into the climb as opposed to a triple. No digs over the risers, I just kept my tempo going, maintaining my momentum. On some sections of the climb, I was doing modest intervals. I would increase the tempo out of the saddle, sit down and go slow for a few moments, rinse and repeat. Not through the entire climb, but on some certain areas. I did a modest dig over the top. I took a minute or two break at the top. Taking on fluids and stretching. I then headed down to the mail lockers and swapped out my bottles. My next destination was through OTR. My body was sufficiently warmed up. I was sweating. My body feels more lively after doing Keene. Time spent to get warmed up on OTR was zero. I made it to the end of OTR feeling good. From there, I was headed to the Alpine Forest. I climbed the Banducci wall with moderate tempo, then kicked it up to high over the top. I was near my maximum, although my HR was around 155ish over the top. I'm getting used to the Alpine Forest climb. Now that it feels more familiar, I'm able to prepare for it mentally as I am ascending. At this point, I was wondering if my left hip was going to be sore. It started to show signs of soreness just before reaching Lemans, but never escalated. I kept going without stopping, making my way to the summit of Banducci. Once at the summit, I took a minute or two break, hydrated, let traffic go by. I was able to practice my tuck. The trip down to Pelliser was mostly a recover zone, relaxing, taking in the scenery. When I reached Pelliser, I put it into moderate tempo. Just trying to gauge my form. It felt good, not great. Of course the wind was more of a cross tail, so that threw off my center of balance. The last climb of the day started moderate and then I put it into good tempo, with a good dig over the top. I took a few moments to recover once over the summit and made my way to Route 202. Route 202 was traffic mitigation and on to OTR. It was fun and games, relaxing may way to Mariposa. The usual dig over the top and then home. My concentration was good for the most part. Some moments of drifting. No gremlins. Balance and form felt good. I was hoping it would feel a lot better now that I adjusted my cleat for a wider stance. It's hard to tell, I'll have to do a couple more rides to determine if I have to make another adjustment. Ailments consisted of some minor lower back soreness, sore hands (with calasses still healing), some soreness in the left hip area. Gear is working well. Other notes... Not a cyclist in sight today, to my surprise.
