Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

The weather is in the low 50’s. Moderate winds from the South East. I adjusted the right cleat as it was slammed to the front.
Possible reason why I was having right leg issues on the previous ride. The legs felt good to start. I made it to the summit in good time. I cruised the downhill. Having fun with the tailwind. There was utility work on the lower part of Keene. It delayed my descent by about 7 or 8 minutes. I took some videos and photos of a helicopter at work. After reaching the base, I headed back, no stopping. On the return, I had to stop again for the construction. I was delayed only by a few minutes. I was fiddling with the Garmin Edge GPS as the clock was not pausing during stops. It locked up while I was navigating the menus. I had to restart it, and restart the recording. At least I was able to save the first half of the ride. From there, it was non-stop to the summit. I had to pace myself as there was a headwind. I was a bit impatient, so I was having to coach a bit and listen to the music and my breathing. After reaching the last dip, the morale was feeling better. In the last mile, I estimated my time and I was within a minute. After reaching the summit, I recovered till I reached the top of Weston, after which I shut it down. Gear was problematic today. The Samsung watch appeared as though the timer wasn't running in Strava mode. The Garmin Watch 4 was transmitting the HR flawless. The Garmin GPS locked up and had to be restarted. I'm still piecing things together. Concentration was good, all things considered. Nutrition was good, but I was having slight hunger sings in the last 10 to 15 minutes of the climb. Ailments, minimal to none. Balance and form felt better with the cleat adjustment. Other notes, no cyclists today.
