Holly got me new aero carbon wheels from Trek in Blacksburg for Christmas since Ian said they were back in stock, so got to try them out. Really nice. I can see if David will help me w/ the old worn out wheel brake rims for a spare, or to put on the 2 old bikes I will maybe be able to work on fixing up in my upcoming spare time in a year or 2. 1st ride in 12 weeks, 84 days. Constantly trying to plan the next in multiple stages of selling the clinic, retiring in some sort of step-downs, & moving. Weekends spent doing chores @ the house or supervising loading of belongings in an ABF trailer while Holly & Katy work on things in Florida, helping redo floors in the clinic in sale prep, etc. Came down for 6 days over Thanksgiving and finally had a somewhat lack of new house chores & some decent but occasionally drizzly weather for a ride today, after starting in on setting up the house to join the Blackhawk Bluff Christmas Display that we are smack dab in the center of. Walked briefly on the beach w/ bike shoes on while going through Neptune Beach, after meeting up with the family before heading to the house and then going out for a late 35th anniversary dinner & catching the end of Michigan State @ Penn State in an area where Big 10 football is way 2nd fiddle to the SEC and even ACC. Rode better than I figured. But why is the wind ALWAYS against me heading home, as I begin to fatigue & get some soreness. But hey, SHORTS!
