Another weather window today and I had planned to do a long ride. I even woke up early... or at least I tried to. I woke up in the middle of a sleep cycle and just didn't feel awake at all.
I faffed about, even considered going back to bed because I didn't feel like going out for a ride. I was feeling so tired. Eventually I forced myself out the door given there wasn't going to be another rain-free day until next week.
I also faffed about because there wasn't a route that I really was excited to ride. I thought about going to Skeggs but I didn't think it would be dry enough yet.
I did a lot more climby roads to start hoping that would wake me up but it didn't. I thought about turning around early. It wasn't until I got to Henry Gunn that I started to wake up and then I really woke up exploring Stanford. I kind of got lost... in a good way. I went to a whole section of the campus that I'd never seen before and it was kind of wild.
I was expecting a tailwind on the way back. At some points I did get one but I was also getting a headwind too. At least it was shorts and short sleeves weather.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
