The forecast said no rain until after 3p so I decided to not wear full rain gear and risk getting too warm. Luckily I brought my Shakedry jacket, Gore cap and waterproof gloves just in case.
As I started heading south, I saw a dark cloud on the horizon. With about 10 miles left to ride, just before the Foster City levee bike path, it started to rain. I had already swapped caps and gloves when it started to sprinkle but when it came down harder, the jacket came out too. I hid under the awning for the Mid-Peninsula Boys & Girls Club for about 5-10 minutes hoping the rain would sweep passed but it didn't.
I was dry from the waist up. I should've just put on the rain leg warmers and full booties and then I would've been fine. My plan was to have lunch at Apple Fritter but since I was soggy from the waist down, I knew I couldn't stop otherwise I'd get cold.
I also hate lying and confusing trail information. According to the website, Sawyer Camp Trail should've been open but it was closed at Jepson Laurel.
I think if I hadn't had to make that detour, I probably would've been at Apple Fritter having lunch when the rain began and then all would've been good.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
