We left the Italian Alps behind and entered the Dolomites. The day started off cold and sunny and eventually became colder and rainy.
The climbs weren't as steep which was nice after yesterday's epic day. The first half of the ride was just gorgeous. The second half would've been gorgeous too if it wasn't for the storm.
It started raining on the Passo Pordoi descent. We were all taking it easy. I was going around a left hander and all of a sudden I found myself sliding on the ground. It happened so fast that I only realized that I was on the ground because of the scraping sound from my bike.
I got lucky that it was wet. I only had a small scuff on my knee and barely anything on my hip. I didn't rip my cut but it has some small scuffs. The thing that was actually bugging me was were the plastic clasp from my HRM dug into the side of my ribs. I found out later when I removed the rear GoPro that the impact snapped one of the two mounting pieces on the case. I couldn't find a replacement case in Cortina. No one carries GoPro stuff here! I hope it'll be okay.
The rest of the ride I was freezing, especially on the last descent where it rained hard. Going at speed, it really stung.
My legs felt okay but the cold really took a lot out of me and made them more sore than if it was warm.

Best format for turn-by-turn directions on modern Garmin Edge Devices
Best format for turn by turn directions on Edge 500, 510. Will provide true turn by turn navigation on Edge 800, 810, 1000, Touring including custom cue entries. Great for training when we release those features. Not currently optimal for Virtual Partner.
Useful for uploading your activity to another service, keeping records on your own computer etc.
Useful for any GPS unit. Contains no cuesheet entries, only track information (breadcrumb trail). Will provide turn by turn directions (true navigation) on the Edge 705/800/810/1000/Touring, but will not have any custom cues. Works great for Mio Cyclo. Find GPS specific help in our help system.

Each time you upload a new ride, your Estimated Time profile will adjust to reflect your most recent riding. Only rides exceeding 10 miles (16 km) will affect these estimates.
